Justin Smith was born in California and considers himself a full-fledged surf bum for life. He currently resides in Colima, Mexico. His mother’s photography inspired him to start shooting surf photos when he was 16-years-old. Now with living at one of the best surfing beach breaks on the planet, this has given him the chance to capture incredible images. He gives props to Jason Kenworthy for sharing with him his extensive knowledge of the art of photography and showing him how it all works. His career highlight was just scoring the cover of The Surfers Journal 31.2. Justin shoots with a Canon 1DX MKIII and a CMT water housing.
